Powder Coating in Your Kitchen

Powder Coating by Frank T. Kitchen

Powder coating can be used to bring smaller items into your overall design aesthetic for the perfect look.

If you love spending time in your kitchen, you’ve probably put a lot of effort into making it look just right. However, there may be some pieces that technically work, but you really wish they fit the aesthetic you’ve tailored so carefully. If these pieces are made of metal, powder coating is a great way to get them just right while adding durability and longevity to every piece.

Cutlery

Cutlery is just one of those things. It usually looks similar to every other piece of cutlery available, making it a basic and uninteresting piece in your kitchen. Powder coating can be used to really jazz up your forks and spoons. You can have them fully immersed, or have them done in a dip style by simply having the handle powder coated. It’s completely safe to eat off of and can be run through your dishwasher without issue.

Stand Mixers

Stand mixers come in an array of fun colors, but their range is still limited. When you’re looking for a seafoam green stand mixer but all you can find is mint green, you might end up settling even though it doesn’t look quite right. Take your stand mixer in to be powder coated and enjoy an endless buffet of colors and finishes. Maybe you love the black mixer, but wish you could get it in a matte finish—look no further. Powder coating will give your stand mixer the exact look you’re aiming for so it fits perfectly into your kitchen design.

Tea Kettles

If you’re rocking a metal tea kettle, you can make it perfect with powder coating. Like stand mixers, these kettles come in a limited range of colors and typically only have a shiny finish. Getting a custom powder coating for your tea kettle will make it an excellent conversation starter and you’ll enjoy using and displaying it that much more when it looks perfect in your kitchen.

Metal Pitchers

Plastic pitchers are prone to staining and glass pitchers break. If you’re investing in metal pitchers, you’re investing in longevity and durability. Do the same with your pitcher’s design and invest in a powder coating finish. Whether you want to keep the look of the metal or get your pitcher done in a beautiful color, bright or bold, powder coating has what you’re looking for. Create a themed set or have them all match perfectly for a cohesive look. They will definitely turn heads at the next gathering you host.

Metal Spice Racks

Spice racks can be kind of boring. They have a lovely minimalist design, usually with the occasional flourish, but are otherwise available in black metal or dark wood. If you’ve found the perfect little metal rack but you’re underwhelmed by its color and finish, powder coating will help you really fall in love with it. Having a spice rack that is a beautiful accent in your kitchen will elevate the space and make you excited every time you reach for the oregano.

Fixtures

If you find fixtures in the perfect design, but not the perfect color, powder coating will save the day. Metal fixtures, such as handles for cabinets and doors, can be powder coated to achieve the perfect look. In addition, powder coating will make these pieces far more durable and long-lasting, keeping your kitchen’s aesthetic beautifully manicured for years to come.
