Let Frank give your bicycle a makeover that will last through your adventures. Bicycles can take a lot of damage while commuting to work or simply around the neighborhood. Save money by investing in a good-looking and durable powder coating design to show off your bicycle moves.

How We Will Apply Powder Coating to Your Bicycle

Like any piece that we work on, you must remove all non-metal materials prior to powder coating. The process for powder coating is straightforward: sandblast, apply powder coating, and heat. Sandblasting removes any rust, paint, or debris so that the powder coating could attach to the surface of the metal. After the bicycle frame is sandblasted, our team will hand it up. This allows us to fully coat the frame from all angles. The magic happens when we place your bicycle frame in a 400-degree oven to melt the powder coating onto your frame. After the piece is cooled and polished, you will be able to pick it up.

Powder Coating Can Give Your Bicycle Personality

There are dozens of colors available to choose from at Powder Coating by Frank T. Our technicians will bring your dreams of color to fruition. We also have several finishes available, including:

  • Sparkle
  • Glitter
  • Matte
  • Satin
  • Textured finish
  • Metallic
  • Fluorescent
  • Gloss

Powder coating is a worthwhile investment into making something you love to look amazing. Bicycles take a lot of damage on the road and in the sun, but you are protecting them with powder coating.

Durable Design

Powder coating is tougher than paint, meaning it will last through years of adventures. If you plan to ride off-trail in the woods through water or mud, consider powder coating. It is waterproof and will not come off when you finally clean your bicycle frame. Paint can chip off over time, especially if you take your bicycle through the mountains. BMX is a sport that carries a lot of accidents. Powder coating is the way to go if you want your bicycle to look good after a few good practice sessions.
